Community Interest Company

Gambling Recovery for All CIC.

A Community Interest Company providing accessible, funded support for people harmed by gambling. Founded by Lorraine Perrons and Claire Jones. CIC no. 15981485.

Why we exist

Rooted in lived experience, committed to inclusion.

Our work is rooted in lived experience, compassion, and evidence-informed practice. We aim to reduce harm, restore connection, and support meaningful, long-term recovery for individuals, families, and communities.

We are committed to inclusivity and social justice, working to remove the financial, cultural, and systemic barriers that prevent people from receiving help. Gambling harm rarely exists in isolation. It's often interconnected with trauma, mental health challenges, financial strain, relationship breakdown, and inter-generational patterns of coping and survival.

Who we support

Built for the people most often missed.

  • Individuals experiencing harm from their own gambling
  • Affected others: partners, parents, young adults, family members, friends
  • Under-served and marginalised communities
  • BAME communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, women, older adults
  • Neuro-divergent individuals, and those facing complex life challenges
  • Individuals unable to access private therapy
  • People experiencing shame, isolation, or barriers to statutory support
Our approach

Four principles, held throughout the work.

01

Trauma informed

We understand that gambling harm and the patterns underneath it are usually responses to deeper distress. The work is paced and shaped accordingly.

02

Lived experience informed

Our therapists have been affected by someone else’s gambling themselves. That shapes the way every programme is written, the language we use, and the pace we work at.

03

Compassion led

We don't define people by the worst of what they're carrying. Compassion is the doorway, the method, and the standard we hold ourselves to.

04

Evidence aware

We use established therapeutic methods, and we also draw on what our own experience has taught us. The two work together.

Current funded project

Rising Above the Gambling Storm.

Our current funded project delivers Rebuild & Rise: Reclaim Your Life, a 12-week trauma-informed programme for people living with the impact of someone else’s gambling. Therapist-led, delivered online, with a small supportive group throughout.

This project was funded by a Community Investment Programme grant awarded by Greo Evidence Insights through the Network to Reduce Gambling Harms, which is funded through regulatory settlement funds awarded to Greo for socially responsible purposes.

Governance & transparency

Operationally separate, structurally accountable.

Gambling Recovery for All CIC works alongside Gambling Recovery Therapy Limited, while remaining operationally separate. The CIC exists solely for public benefit.

All grant funding, donations, and commissioned income received by the CIC is ring-fenced and used exclusively to deliver community interest activities in line with our asset lock. We bring extensive professional experience from NHS roles, together with specialist training and lived experience as affected others, meaning our work is informed by strong safeguarding standards, ethical practice, and a compassionate understanding of the challenges people face.

Partners, funders, commissioners

We welcome enquiries from individuals, families, funders, commissioners, and partner organisations interested in supporting or collaborating with Gambling Recovery for All CIC.
